A Kenyan e-learning platform where parents of Grade 7–9 learners buy animated CBC maths lessons and auto-marked quizzes. Sign-up needs only a phone number; passes cost KES 30 a day, about KES 500 a month or KES 1,000 a term; parents get SMS progress reports. It runs on a multi-tenant Moodle so one codebase can serve many schools on their own domains.

The problem

Maths is the worst-performing KJSEA subject (32.44% of learners meeting expectations) and tutoring is expensive, app-heavy and data-hungry.

What we built

Curriculum-mapped animated lessons with quizzes whose numbers change every attempt, sold in daily sachets over M-Pesa with no app, no email and light pages.

What it does

  • 46 topics, 280 animated lessons, 279 auto-marked quizzes
  • Phone-number sign-up, Safaricom OTP, first lesson free
  • Paystack M-Pesa and card, day/month/term passes
  • SMS progress reports to parents
  • Multi-tenant: custom sign-up, paywall, SMS gateway and mastery dashboard plugins

A solo-built, revenue-taking product in a market where the incumbent is a private tutor. Every design choice is Kenya-first: KES 30 sachets, M-Pesa, SMS to parents, data-light pages.
